Donley Wedding, Lake Tahoe, NV – Destination Wedding
It’s been a while since I’ve been shooting Weddings, just now trying to get back into the grove of things in the Wild Wild West. I had an opportunity to fly back toward my home and shoot this wedding in Lake Tahoe Nevada. This was a beautiful small wedding, I had a great time and really enjoyed the vibe of this couple.

Engagement of Mohala and Ned
Beautiful couple, these shots were done at the Wente Winery (I flew back to California for a week from my home in Texas), I managed to slip in a tasting while there too. They were a fun couple, full of life and open to new ideas and poses.

My family and I have moved to the Dallas Texas Metroplex
We are officially moved. I will start advertising in Texas as soon as the dust settles, and look forward to creating a customer base in Texas really soon.

Wedding photography in the Bay Area
I had a bride ask me the other day, “There are so many photographers out there, who do you choose?”
I guess if I was a bride, there are some things I would look for more than others. I’d want someone with experience, someone that can communicate with me and my guests. I’d want a photographer that knows the day is about the bride and her life begins when they say I do (as does the groom).
I’d want a photographer that uses pro equipment with backup in case there is a malfunction.
I’d want someone that know how to photograph a wedding and loves to do it.
I guess in the end, I’d want a photographer there that knows what do so I don’t have to worry about one more thing on my beautiful day.
I never once asked her to choose Dumas Photography, but she did anyway.

Michelle W
My friend Michelle wanted her photos taken. I was happy to photograph such a pretty girl with a great attitude. Michelle was fun to work with, and since I know her, I was able to crack a few more of my dumb jokes than normal.

My first official blog
This is my official FIRST post to my new blog, figure I’d talk about my family a little.
I am a husband and father. Nothing makes me as proud as looking at my beautiful wife and daughter, two beautiful blessings in my life. My family and I were in Kaua’i the beginning of April, what a beautiful place to spend with people you love.
I of course brought my camera, couldn't resist the opportunity to catch a Hawaiian sunset with the wife and child. Call us dorks, but my wife picked out matching outfits for our family portraits.
Setup the camera, focus, and thank goodness for that trusty “timer delayed shutter release.”
